Halloween Costumes - Let Your Imagination Run Wild
Halloween outfits may be made from items which are found around the home or they can be bought from a specialist shop either locally or on the internet. More complex outfits or items that you think you will only ever put on once may be better rented out via a fancy dress supply shop.

Halloween costumes are usually only limited by the individual's imagination, because once a costume idea has been thought up; the materials can more often than not be found to bring about the inspiration. With the pervasiveness of the web, there is nearly an unlimited stock of outfits and concepts that can be used, even make-up ideas for producing certain effects in a step by step set of instructions and tutorials.
Homemade Halloween costumes can be created with any materials and garments which are at an individual's disposal. There are various different costumes that can be made in this way, or created by a couple of people working along with the supplies on hand.
Clown outfits are one inspiration that can be fashioned by using extra large clothing and a little make-up. Often the white make-up for the base must be purchased, but the reds can be made by using lipstick and the other colors could be made through the eye shadow and liners that are in the bathroom.
As the makeup for a clown is so distinctive, it is quite easy to create a clown costume in your own home but you can get really detailed clown outfits online or in a shop too. This will likely save you time making it from scratch.

A scarecrow Halloween costume can be prepared by using a flannel shirt and stuffing it with a pillow and then placing bits of hay or straw within the openings of the shirt so that it appears like the whole thing is full of hay or straw. The shirt and pillow needs to be held in place with a rope belt and loose-fitting jeans or overalls should be worn over it as well. After all, a real scarecrow is usually manufactured from odds and ends and things you do not need therefore how tough could it be in making a scarecrow outfit ?
Pirates are a classic Halloween costume. All and sundry likes to dress up as a Pirate at least once. It is probably not that tough to make a costume with over sized, old clothing plus a bandanna but you'd maybe need some props to really convince that you are a swashbuckler. A sword, eye patch or captain hat is likely to be all you need to add to look like a legendary pirate.
How about topical costumes ? Consider reports in the news and fashion a costume based on the person or people involved in the story. A few years back it was octomom. Last year it was Barack Obama. What about wrapping a 9 iron around your neck and wearing golf gear and pretend you are Tiger Woods. I'm sure there are a few tales which will break prior to Halloween to inspire you to create that topical and witty outfit that could have the party chuckling.
