SEATTLE SEAHAWKS SIGNINGS UPDATE
Good news or not for signing with Sidney Rice
If you are a loyal fan of NFL, you must be familiar with the name of Seattle Seahawks. It is well known that Seattle Seahawks are one of many teams in NFL season which have done some great changes. People would like to pay attention to the changes of Seattle Seahawks. Such as the great change that the longtime veteran quarterback Matt Hasselback decided he was not going to return to the Seattle Seahawks and would ultimately sign with the Tennessee Titans. With the shock news, how did Seattle Seahawks face to this status?
Seattle Seahawks have to face the reality and find a new gunslinger who can temporarily replace the place of Hasselback. There is the one in Brett Favre's former backup in Tarvaris Jackson from Minnesota Vikings. However, it is obvious that Jackson isn't the one they were looking for. Under this status, they have to do this for the time being.
Luckily enough, the Seattle Seahawks were able to lure in the best free agent from the Minnesota Vikings in Pro Bowl wide receiver Sidney Rice. Sidney Rice, famous football player in the NFL, has super skills and passion to his lovely football. It is amazing that most people would like to watch a football game with the Sidney Rice in the playground shedding his charm and wild with his cheap authentic nfl jerseys. So Seattle Seahawks were eager to own this powerful player.
Even though Rice didn't play that much last season due to a hip injury, the up-and-coming season is amongst the best in the league at his position and would fit in perfectly across from Mike Williams in Seattle.
It is reported that the Seattle Seahawks signed Sidney Rice a five-year deal which is worth about $41 million dollars. This is a well-deserved lucrative contract for the Pro Bowl wide receiver as he should have been rewarded after his first season as Brett Favre's favorite target in Minnesota.
Whether or not this move makes the Seattle Seahawks a better team remains to be observed. For the reason this team of Seattle Seahawks is in desperate need of an upgrade at the quarterback position. If the Seahawks can get their hands on a quarterback like the recently released Vince Young they have a chance to win the NFC West division once again next season, but if not, the signing of Sidney Rice might have been pointless. So, under such situation Seattle Seahawks have to plan for its team future with deep consideration.
